Toys in my Chest
Pretty little china doll, placed upon a fence.
Picked her up and played awhile,
And put back for all the rest.
She sits, she stares, she's empty,
A toy of convenience; nothing more.
It doesn't matter, up, or down;
Hell, leave her on the floor.
Fragile little china doll, left to find her way.
Alone, alone, she's all alone.
At least another day.
Searching, searching, never finding, never truly bought.
Just lying in the treasure chest
Of the world's both found and lost.
Picked her up and played awhile,
And put back for all the rest.
She sits, she stares, she's empty,
A toy of convenience; nothing more.
It doesn't matter, up, or down;
Hell, leave her on the floor.
Fragile little china doll, left to find her way.
Alone, alone, she's all alone.
At least another day.
Searching, searching, never finding, never truly bought.
Just lying in the treasure chest
Of the world's both found and lost.
